De la famille des limicoles, signifiant \u00ab\u00a0oiseaux du rivage\u00a0\u00bb, il hiverne en Afrique tropicale. Son r\u00e9gime est omnivore, mais il se nourrit surtout de mollusques qu’il cherche en retournant des pierres et des coquillages. Il n\u2019est pas farouche et se laisse approcher \u00e0 quelques m\u00e8tres sans camouflage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
